Awesome little camp ground, basic amenities but walking distance to shops pubs beaches and so much more. Only downside is it's only open for a short period but worth a visit.
Ideally situated for camping but has no facilities. A footpath leads directly to the town/beach and there's a shop very close to the entrance. Prone to flooding in rainy weather. We enjoyed a lovely rally here in the glorious weather this spring.
Been coming here for years. My whole family love it here. The campsite is huge and no restrictions on how much space you can have. Plenty of space for children to run free. Loads of lovely chip huts but after trying them all . The green and white one (ships galley) is far the best. There curry sauce is amazing. The facilities are kept spotless by a lovely lady. She works really hard at keeping them spotless. Just returned from spending 4 wks down there. Will be back in few weeks.
Good friendly campsite with basic amenities (no eclectic hookups within walking distance of west Bay and Bridport would recommend.
Basically a field with water and elsan point. But the best part is the location. Spar and laundarette opposite entrance. Walk through he camping field and you are in west bay with the harbour and beaches. Lovely place.
