Stayed for three nights at Old Bidlake in July 2018 and had the run of the camp to ourselves for two of them. Perhaps not the friendliest of access roads, but owners couldn't be more welcoming and maintained a fine balance between making sure we were getting on alright and leaving us to our own devices to enjoy the site. Facilities were tidy and well maintained with showers surprisingly warm and luxurious for a converted barn! Sunbathed, relaxed, got through half a suitcase of books (and almost as much cider), and generally decompressed. Very happy with our stay and can't wait to get chance to stop again.
Lovely campsite with great amenities - really friendly owners who went out of their way to make sure we had a good time with our young children. Beautiful location in the middle of the countryside - we got to see a barn owl flying in the camping field at dusk two nights in a row!
Awesome camping/glamping experience. The owners are really keen to make sure everyone has a great holiday. Lovely safe site for kids to explore; mine loved playing with the other children, feeding the chickens and playing games in the 'rainy day room'. Would recommend for a family-friendly, easy-camping holiday anyday.
A great place to stay. Love the place and the people
Absolutely NOT a family-friendly campsite! When our 2 year-old dared to cry during the night at Old Bidlake Farm, the owner confronted us in the pitch black and told her that she can't make noise, otherwise we'd have to leave the campsite. We left the next day, cutting our holiday short and going home with two disappointed little girls. When we wrote to complain we were met with an unbelievably offensive and totally unprofessional response, compounding a dreadful experience. What a shame.
