Popped in on way home from Southampton for lunch. Although a table had been booked, we were a little early, so not an issue. Food very good, scampi and chips, fish and chips and sandwiches.
Lovely setting and well looked after by attentive and helpful staff. Food was served quickly but lacked attention to detail, it was nice but not good (eg needed more bread with mussels and chips were late out but not crispy as expected) - although daughter thought her Xmas turkey meal was excellent. All in a good experience and a lovely walk at West Bay on completion.
A great pub/restaurant with a lovely warm atmosphere.The staff were friendly and attentive, there were beers on tap from the local brewery ( Palmer's), may I suggest a pint of 200 which is an excellent choice!
Lovely quaint hotel. Clean room and comfortable bed, extra blanket available if needed but the heating was more than sufficient on a very cold day. A very good breakfast. Would have given 5 stars except my shower didn't work and no time left for a bath. Would definitely return.
The pub is lovely and the food excellent, the staff are on the whole quite young and don't seem to want to be there, there seems to be a bit of an atmosphere which is a great shame. The pub is located in the centre of West Bay with a car park outside and it is all flat...so it is easily accessible if you have walking problems.
