Unusual atmosphere here, cosy and quiet with interesting decor. The food is nice and the staff welcoming.

I like going here for a full English breakfast and have visited a few times. The staff are lovely and friendly and it is a nice little cafe. The only thing Ive wanted to say, which is why Im reviewing, is that I know they allow dogs in (not very hygienic but can understand to an extent) but the last time I went with my 6 year old, we was eating at the table closest to the door when a couple with a dog walked in and sat next to us even though there was empty tables everywhere. We got our food and started to eat, lovely, just about halfway through the couple were leaving they went past our table and the dog (Labrador) stopped right in front of us and shook his coat. Hair flying everywhere. We stopped eating paid and left. The couple sort of laughed it off as though it was normal. I understand they accept dogs in there but as a no dog customer just wanting to eat I find it very unhygienic and as though the dog owners make you feel a bit uncomfortable for not liking having the dog there when you eat!! Im sorry I just couldnt do it. We didnt even finish our food. As I say staff are lovely but I think it should be reviewed whether or not animals should be allowed in with such a small cafe and an open plan kitchen. Unfortunately I wont return as it made my stomach turn with how much dog hair was floating around.
Great food, great service at a fair price. Local produce used, tucked down a side street but they have a board showing the way, full English breakfast is my favourite. If you're in Bridport, give them a visit. Recommended!
