My favourite campsite. Beautiful situation, lovely walk along the river into Burton Bradstock which has two pubs, a shop, caf, beach and high quality restaurant overlooking the sea (the Seaside Boarding House). Very friendly staff and good facilities.

Love this campsite. Beautiful setting, perfectly located for exploring West Dorset. Not for those who want a livlier site with all the amenities, but great for those who prefer a quieter experience. Easy walk to two great pubs. Short 5 minute drive to West Bay and Bridport.
A beautiful site in a nice quiet riverside location. The village is only 20 minutes stroll away, the beach another 10 minutes more. The site is well run and very tidy. There are lots of trees and nice wild areas for wildlife.The toilets are a fair distance from the camping area, which is a little annoying, but the are very well maintained and quite clean. Lots of water points on site, we separation between grey disposal and drinking water. Good recycling and waste facilities. No shop on site, but the village has two excellent pubs, both have excellent food, service and drinks. There is also a post office and farm shop, and a little further on a petrol station with a Spar convenience store that seems to be open early to late. Highly recommended, although the WDLH website and booking system seems a little esoteric, and I'm not sure that some of the questions the booking systems asks are really necessary or required.
